The Associate Director, Key Account Manager will serve as lead contact with key Veteran’s Affairs (VA), and Department of Defense (DoD) customers, selected Epilepsy Center’s of Excellence and Healthcare Systems, Group homes, and Developmental Disabled(DD) Institutions,. Additional responsibilities will include developing, implementing, and executing territory and account specific DD, VA, and DoD Group home, strategies to ensure access and appropriate demand for products. This will include working with key customers in the Group home, DD and VA/DoD space.
Essentially, this role necessitates not only outstanding communication but also the development and execution of strategies, thereby ensuring the effective promotion and utilization of marketed products.
Initially, partnering with Sales and Sales Leadership, and subsequently aligning with Marketing, focuses on strategic initiatives. Consequently, these collaborations are designed to amplify sales performance comprehensively across all promoted products.
Strategically partner with commercial and non-commercial teams (Market Access, Advocacy, CDMA)
Initially, this role’s crucial outcomes include developing strategies for targeted customer engagement. Subsequently, implementing these strategies is essential to effectively achieve corporate objectives.
The Key Accounts position will foster relationships in the VA/DoD markets, Group homes, and DD and inclusive of targeted LTC and I/DD pharmacies, consultant pharmacists, Veteran’s Affairs Pharmacy Executives and other key contacts at assigned accounts. Additionally, the Associate Director will look for and evaluate other opportunities for pull-through beyond assigned targets.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify opportunities, develop and execute business strategies on key accounts.
Firstly, pinpoint critical opportunities with key decision-makers and providers within accounts. Then, craft specific goals and strategies tailored to enhance business performance significantly.
Demonstrate the ability to identify and initiate market shaping opportunities through evolving channel business models.
Apply a range of account management, consultative skills, and clinical expertise to build support for our portfolio of products and enhance our access status with customers.
Track and analyze product performance and communicate broadly with key stakeholders in Sales, Market Access, Marketing and all appropriate internal personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
3-5 years of pharmaceutical experience working in VA/DoD, Healthcare Systems, Group homes, and I/DD and markets inclusive of targeted Group homes and I/DD pharmacies, consultant pharmacists, Veteran’s Affairs Pharmacy Executives.
Education – BS, BA.
Travel – 50+%
